Fred Crowell is a coach, counselor, author and master motivator. He was the head basketball coach at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and one of the youngest head coaches ever hired at the age of 23. He founded NBC Camps in 1971 and has built the organization to one of the largest and most successful sports camps in the world.
In this episode, you'll hear about his aha Jesus moment.....
how camp became so much more than Basketball,
and why he's not afraid to die.
This is truly one of the most powerful conversations and inspiring stories that I have been blessed to share.
Snag a copy of his newly published daily devotional book called "Words of Hope" and let Fred be a shining light to help coach you spiritually through the next 365 days...and beyond.

Although his original book "Meet My Head Coach" is no longer in publication after 7 updates over the years, it is still available, used, in limited supply on Amazon at

This was a very light-hearted and engaging article that I truly enjoyed. The list of 100+ Excuses for Not Doing Homework was both funny and relatable, especially for students dealing with deadlines. I appreciated how the author balanced humor with real-life situations. Content like this is refreshing because it offers a break from serious topics while still connecting with student life. Posts like this are always enjoyable and easy to connect with.
